PERU :

Awaken The Creative

25th - 31st January, 2020

YOGA . BREATH WORK . VOICE & EXPRESSIVE ARTS . PLANT MEDICINE
with Marta Wanderlust

Humans are naturally creative beings - every thought we have, every action we take, every sentence we speak - these are all creative processes. Yet so often we live our lives on autopilot, and even the simplest creative processes become stagnant.

Expressive arts bridge the gap between the conscious and unconscious. Through creative self-expression we open a platform for our deepest processes and emotions to be reflected in. To be in the creative flow - through movement, song, art, writing - means to enter a neutral place in our minds, and open to the Universal energy moving through us.

I am so, so honoured and excited to be offering this retreat with my sister-from-another-life, Marta Wanderlust. A lot of love is going into curating this retreat, to ensure you will be held in a safe space, with an invitation to truly create lasting shifts. Through the powerful and magical combination of Yoga, Breath Work, meditation, sound healing, voice activating sessions, creative writing practices, and Plant Medicine ceremonies, we will free up blocked energies, suppressed emotions, stuck patterns of communication and self-expression - and make space for the fresh creative processes to emerge.

Every person has something to contribute in the conversation of Life.

The retreat will take place at the stunning Samadhi Sacred Valley - a retreat centre set on the side of a mountain, with incredible views of the Andean cordillera. I know, it barely looks real, but that is not a fake backdrop, I promise!

A highly trained chef will take care of our three vegetarian meals per day, using only the best local produce. Unlimited teas and fruit will always be on hand. You will not go hungry!
The accommodation is in seven beautiful bungalows, nestled into the side of the valley. Each one is thoughtfully themed on a Chakra energy centre (very cool, hey!); all are en suite, and set up as double/twin share. Private rooms are available on request and with a supplementary cost.

ABOUT MARTA

Marta Wanderlust is a gifted, passionate, and highly experienced teacher and student of Yoga and the teachings of Advaita Vedanta. She first discovered Yoga when 14 years old, and has many years of training behind her - in Jivamukti, Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow, Pranayama, meditation, Vedic philosophies and yin yoga.

She has taught at diverse centres in Europe, Asia, and South America and spent a few years serving as a 200hr Yoga Teacher Training instructor at Sampoorna Yoga, in India.

Marta lives in Peru, sharing her practice with the guests of a variety of plant medicine healing centres, teaching occasional workshops and classes in the Sacred Valley, working with private students, and leading personal Yoga retreats internationally. .

Marta has also studied extensively with the plant medicines and traditions of Central and South America. She has had the opportunity to learn under the guidance of shamans and medicine people from various communities and traditions.

I met this wonderful woman at a quiet dinner party one Saturday evening in London a few years back and felt an instant, sisterly connection to her. We have been in touch from afar ever since and her warmth, deep wisdom and light, personable nature are unbeatable. Professionally, also, I respect her deeply, and am soo excited to be sharing this retreat with her.

▲ ABOUT SAN PEDRO ▲

San Pedro (also known as Huachuma) is a cactus that has been used as a sacred plant medicine for at least 3,000 years in the Andes of Peru. It is a medicine that can be used to help us perceive our self-created barriers and limitations, and greatly aids us in opening and connecting with our hearts.
Each ceremony is a reunion with ourselves, Mother Nature and the Divine. It is a medicinal mirror that can help us see where we hold onto self-limiting beliefs and patterns in our lives, gently guiding us toward releasing that which no longer serves us.
Our ceremonies will be facilitated by Bernhard Karshagen of Ubuntu Ayni, in a sacred, safe and supportive space.
